Young people, you drive me mad - on the whole; there are some exceptions, though they are few and far between. Irresponsible, uninterested in changing the world, and hell-bent on getting more lazy and less productive is the general norm.
When was the last time one of you got off your arse and did something for the good of the planet? If you are wondering what the fuck I am on about, it is simple:
Whales, Orangutans, Tigers, Elephants, Cod, Mercury poisoning - all these need something doing about them,
Maybe you are thinking the it is someone else's problem, or someone else is supposed to be dealing with it, or you are asking yourself:
"Why do no governments get involved?"
For someone in public office, surely getting votes is a good thing. Now, I am not one to condone anyone who jumps on a band-waggon, but the truth is that we older people will die off or be forced into inactivity. Younger people need to take over those tasks we have not yet finished.
Voters are fickle, politicians even more so, yet there is an untapped source of votes in those younger generations who are not perhaps aware of the past victories.
Dolphin friendly Tuna, recycling, Whales, the WWF, Pandas, Tigers - all fought for, some more successfully than others. You need to act. Get off your arses, put away your mobiles and laptops, stand up and go out of your home ...
Join a local conservation group, like an organisation on FaceFook that is doing something, offer your help as a volunteer, take six months out of your life to do something good for the planet.
There are those who think they are helping, I know of one who helps through a scheme working abroad, but he is just taking someone else's job, and putting a path through a Portuguese wood is not really helping anything other than tourism. Misdirected help is WORSE than no help at all.
GET OFF YOUR LAZY ARSES AND HELP, YOU YOUNG MUPPETS!
